Even this month has been quite stingy, but at least I can show you the pics of the things I’ve bought last month: a couple of days ago the three games I’ve bought in July has finally arrived.
Here’s a great start, with a collector of Resident Evil, nay, Biohazard. It’s the first chapther of the series, a Deluxe Edition in steelbox with a book-like case protected by some foam, a very cool thing and in perfect ocnditions, like new; even the manual looks like it has never been pulled out from its protective envelope and, of course, CDs are in pristine confition. Now I own five different copies of Resident Evil/Biohazard 5: due for Xbox 360 (standard and this japanese collector), two for PS3 (standard and steelbox) and one for Xbox One.
Talking about Xbox One I’d like to introduce the second game of the day, The Evil Within 2. I already have the first game for Xbox 360 and moved by the passion for horror videogames, especially after playing Layers of Fear always for Xbox One, I gave myself this new chapter of the series. Once I will overcome my fears and complete Layers of Fear, The Evil Within 2 will be the next on the list.
The third game is WipEout 2097 that I’ve bought mainly for sentimental reasons. Since I grew up with my compilations of PC games among which the Twilight 001 where the first WipEout was one of the games featured, I wanted to “pay homage” with this game, first sequel of the original for PS1. It’s a Platinum but the coonditions are perfect and the manual gave me some nostalgia of the good old times when games were done with particular care and came with big manuals with long descriptions, not with just a paper with a bunch of useless legal notices.
The only game bought this month is Castle Heart for Switch that looks like a funn action/platformer I could’n let go giving the super discounted price of just 1,99€…

Anche questo mese si è rivelato abbastanza scarso di materiale, ma perlomeno posso mostrarvi le immagini di quello che ho acquistato il mese scorso: un paio di giorni fa infatti sono arrivati i tre giochi comprati a fine Luglio.
Si parte con il botto, con una collector di Resident Evil, pardon, Biohazard. E’ il quindi capitolo della serie, una Deluxe Edition in steelbox con tanto di custodia a libretto protetta da gommapiuma, una roba sciccosissima e in condizioni perfette, come nuovo; anche il libretto sembra non sia mai stato tolto dalla bustina in plastica e, ovviamente, i CD sono immacolati. Adesso sono arrivato a possedere cinque differenti copie di Resident Evil/Biohazard 5: due per Xbox 360 (la standard e questa collector giapponese), due per PS3 (standard e steelbox) e una per Xbox One.
Mi aggancio al capitolo Xbox One per parlare del secondo gioco della giornata, The Evil Within 2. Avevo già il primo gioco per Xbox 360 e spinto dalla passione per i videogiochi a tema horror, specie dopo aver giocato a Layers of Fear, sempre per Xbox One, mi sono portato a casa questo nuovo capitolo della serie. Non appena riuscirò a superare le mie paure e terminare Layers of Fear, The Evil Within 2 è il prossimo della lista.
Terzo gioco è WipEout 2097, che ho comprato più per ragioni di cuore. Essendo cresciuto con le mie care compilation per PC, tra le quali la Twilight 001 dove il primo WipEout era uno dei giochi, ho voluto “rendergli omaggio” con questo gioco, primo seguito dell’originale, in formato PS1. E’ un Platinum ma le condizioni sono perfette e il manuale all’interno fa venire la nostalgia dei tempi nei quali i giochi erano distribuiti prestando particolare cura al contorno: manuali, oggetti e lunghe descrizioni delle atmosfere di gioco, non solo un foglietto con inutili sproloqui legali.
L’unica aggiunta di questo mese è Castle Heart per Switch che sembra un divertente action/platform che non potevo certo lasciarmi scappare visto il supersconto che lo ha portato a 1,99€…
