Hello old games lovers,
Seems yesterday that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night hit the shelves but today we celebrate its 20th anniversary, having been released on March 20th, 1997. The game marks the moment in which the Castlevania franchise turned from a platformer with some RPG features to an action RPG. Symphony of the night was almost universally praised and was awarder from Electronic Gaming Monthly Play Station Game of the year 1997.
One of the greatest games of all time

Oh Alucard…one of my eternal crushes hehe. I’ve never played it, but I’ve listened to amazing soundtrack, and I’ve seen it played. I’m not very good at Metroidvania games, but I love the intelligence that goes into that style of gaming!

I kinda suck to Metroidvanias too. I’ve been able to play without particular issues only the first Castlevania and the first Metroid (actually I had some problems with this…)

Whew! I’m so glad I’m not the only one :p I’m also terrified of Metroid lol. Mother Brain scares the absolute living daylights out of me :O

20 years already?! Dammit I’m old…I think I’ll pout by firing up SotN on my Vita and yelling at kids to get off my damn lawn. Even though I rent, and it’s technically not my yard.

It’s always a great sensation to tell scumbags to get off from the lawn. I can’t wait to have my own house, my own yard and my lawn to swear to the kids while coughing like I’m about to die…

Happy Belated Birthday to a classic! I hope a new entry in “Metroidvania” comes out someday. I could go for a sequel to this game or any of the GBA/DS titles!
