[RetroSoft] 25 years of Windows95!

Hello retro software lovers,

Probably 1995 marks the moment when the computer evolved from the successful item it already was but still “locked” in a sort of niche into a mainstream phenomenon and this thanks (also) to Windows 95, to its colourful graphics, easy to browse and to the gradual dismission of the prompt of commands that characterized the years of DOS. Win95 became “the computer” that did boot directly with the opening screen of Microsoft new product and today, August 24th, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first, important, huge success of Bill Gates. Immediately what was there before became obsolete and the time when I used to brag with my best friend immediately was over, when she bought a shiny new PC that made use of the colourful graphics of Win 95 and played its immortalopening jingle. All hail to Win95.

Buongiorno retroamici,

All hail to Win95.

  1. I’m feeling so old! I remember what a big deal it was when Windows95 came out. But I was still a child, only 22 years old.
