[Editorial] Guess what’s next on I ❤ Old Games! – 03/11/19

Hello guys,

As anticipated in the last [Picks of the Month] post, it looks like Christmas came earlier this year, since I’ve already added to my collection a C64 Mini. It will be hard to hook it up to my overloaded TV but I’ll try, even because I don’t want it to be the only mini console not connected. Even my 1995 F1 campionship with GP2 still continues and after the 4th place in the first race in Brazil (only because the damned Mika Hakkinen pushed me off the track while I was passing him, otherwise it couls have been a podium) I clinched my first painful victory, thanks to a perfect strategy and to an impressive amount of fastest laps, almost in qualifying mode, as it’s normal if you want to win with the Ace setting.

I’m still opening packs of Magic cards. I still have few packs left still sealed among the ones my gf gave me last month and that I’m tring to preserve just to have at least one to open every day. There are juicy new cards that led me to build a new white-green deck to try to defeat my archrival mono white. It’s a deck full of planeswalkers, but it’s still in its beta version and I think I’ll have to iron it out to have a decent deck, but at least it’s something to begin with. When it will be ready I will finally test it in the real world…

Come anticipato nell’ultimo post [Picks of the Month], sembra che Natale sia arrivato prima quest anno, visto che si è aggiunto alla mia collezione il C64 Mini. Faticherò non poco a piazzarlo sotto alla TV ma ci proverò, anche perchè non può essere l’unica console mini a non essere attaccata. Continua anche il mio campionato 1995 a GP2 e dopo il 4° posto nell’inaugurale GP del Brasile (solo perchè il maledetto Mika Hakkinen mi ha sbattuto fuori mentre provavo a sorpassarlo, altrimenti sarebbe stato podio) è arrivata una vittoria sofferta nel Paicifico, frutto di una stategia perfetta e di una sequela impressionanti di giri da quallifica, come c’è da aspettarsi quando si gioca con difficoltà Asso.

Continuo anche a sbustare alla grande per quanto riguarda Magic. Ormai sono rimaste poche le bustine ancora chiuse tra quelle regalatemi dalla mia morosa il mese scorso e che sto cercando di centellinare per avere qualcosa di nuovo da aprire tutti i giorni. Si sono aggiunte carte non da poco che mi hanno fatto partorire l’idea di creare un nuovo mazzo bianco-verde per poter battere il mio acerrimo rivale mono bianco. E’ un mazzo pieno di planeswalker, ma è ancora in versione beta e penso dovrò limarlo non poco per farlo diventare decente, ma intanto è un inizio. Quando sarà pronto potrò finalmente testarlo nel mondo reale…
