Since I didn’t grow up with a Dreamcast in my living room, unfortunately I missed a lot of great games that graced this unlucky but loved console. Ported directly from the arcade, SoulCalibur is probably one of the best 3D beat ’em ups of the 90, although it was released at the very end of the decade. Today, September 9th, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the american version, released in 1999. SoulCalibur went to sell more than 1 million copies and therefore was one of the best selling games on the platform and spawned a lot of sequels, the last of which is 2018 gam SoulCalibur VI.
Non essendo cresciuto con un Dreamcast in casa, purtroppo mi sono perso un bel numero di ottimi giochi che deliziarono questa sfortunata ma amatissima console. Portato direttamente dalla versione arcade, SoulCalibur è probabilmente uno dei migliori picchiaduro in 3D degli anni 90, anche se arrivò proprio sul finire del decennio. Ed oggi, 9 Settembre, festeggiamo i 20 anni della versione americana, uscita oggi nel 1999. SoulCalibur vendette più di un milione di copie ed è pertanto uno dei giochi più popolari per Dreamcast che diede il la ad una saga il cui ultimo episodio è SoulCalibur VI del 2018.
Per me è il migliore di tutti i capitoli! Un gioiello per Dreamcast. Da avere assolutamente.
