The celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the conquest of the Moon are recent history. In 1979 when the landing on the moon was still somethign quite new and only 10 years had passed since the event, Atari had the brilliant idea to release for the arcades a new game, Lunar Lander. The game per se is very easy and becomes addictive after a few minutes and each one of us at leas once in life tried to land the small module on the moon withou crashing it and dreamt of being on board on the Apollo 11…

Le celebrazioni per il 50mo anniversario dell’allunaggio sono storia recente. Nel 1979, quando l’allunaggio era ancora storia fresca ed erano passati solo 10 anni dall’evento, Atari ebbe la geniale idea di creare un nuovo gioco da distribuire per il mercato arcade, Lunar Lander. Il gioco in sè, molto semplice provoca in fretta assuefazione e tutti almeno una volta nella vita abbiamo provato a far atterrare il lander senza distruggerlo sognando di essere a bordo dell’Apollo 11…
Se la memoria non mi inganna, dopo Break-Out e Space Invaders, questo è il terzo arcade che mi ha rapito. Il quarto sicuramente è Phoenix. La sindrome da FUEPS è certa.
