Yes, you read right.
I ❤ Old Games! has had a great success – great for my standards of course – since I switched it in english two years ago but after three years running I’ve asked myself if it’s right to keep it english only. In the end I’m italian, I speak italian and most of my early followers were italian. Some of them still follow my blog but of course it’s easy to comment and discuss with someone who talks your language. And even because, frankly there are expression or discussions in general that are hard to translate in english.
That’s the reason why from tomorrow most of the articles on this blog will be in english and italian. In the [Review] posts every paragraph will have the two versions while in the longest posts It will be clearly stated where the english or italian version will begin.
With this move I hope to intercept again my compatriots and maybe teach some italian to my foreign audience!

That’s some really good news, I really need to boost my reading skills in Italian. Can we hope for similar stuff, like your take on the depiction of Italy in video games?

Ha! That’s a great idea! Actually we’re a country of stereotypes and as always happens all the stereotypes has some hidden truth. I’m not a great writer so I don’t think I could be your best teacher but I can try! Have you studied italian?

Hey, debunking stereotypes about Italian military and its performance in WW2 has been my hobby for years. And yeah, I’ve studied Italian for half a year, then just read a lot, so I can read Italian quite fluently, but can’t bring myself to speak or write it

I understand. Italian is damn hard to speak mainly because the written language is very different from the spoken language. And both have so many rules is easy to get lost. BTW I’ll try to find games where italians are not only mafia pizza and mandolino. Hard task
