I hope your spring has been great so far! I know some of you have started a great swap season; I’ve never attended a swap (and I don’t even think there are near my place) but I’ve found a lot of interestng things online lately. First of all I’m trying to secure a NES game so I can compete a trilogy I wanted to complete since I began collecting. If I’ll be lucky enough you’ll know very soon 🙂
Last week I’ve started a new column out of the blue and I think it will be a nice intermezzo between a [Review] and an [Editorial]. It will be a complete “random” column since I won’t personally select a game but the fate will work for me: a randomly generated numer will identify a game in my collection and I will revisit it;I did it because otherwise I’ll end up talking about the same games all the time. I won’t focus only on the game itself but I’ll talk about mjy mpressione, what is the inspiration of rthe game and, if there’s an interesting story to tell, I’ll talk about something related to the game – the movie or the book that inspired it, the company that released it, if there’s somthing particular about the release date…anything goes! – so let’s say it will be a cross disciplinary approach that will diagonally touch a lot of different aspects. The first post has been about Judge Dredd and I’ve already put to work my random number generator to identify the next three games: they will be one for the Atari 2600, one for the Xbox 360 and one for the PS2. If you want to guess the games I can give you some hints 🙂
