Hello old games lovers,
Retro gaming doesn’t mean only NES, Mega Drive and (in recent times) PS1, but also old arcade games almost forgotten and unfortunately destined to the oblivion. But today, we’d like to remember one of the most successful arcade games of its era, a reference point for other clones released in the years to follow, Head On, released by Gremlin (but developed by Sega) in April 1979, so happy 40th anniversary!
The game is one of the “dot-eaters” but here there are no ghosts, but just two cars and a concentric path filled by dots to collect, avinding, of course, the collision with the computer controlled opponent. This is the fist game in which the goal is to collect dots and it will spawn a plethora of clones and will inspire a huge amount of games, the most famous of which is 1980 worldwide Namco hit Pac-Man.
