[Editorial] Guess what’s next on I ❤ Old Games! – 17/02/19

Hello guys,

Another fruitful week on the gaming side. After the games completed last week I started to get to grips with Obitus and I’m really enjoying it. This is probably my first attempt to beat an RPG even though this game is not a real RPG; however this could become the key to enter the vast world of role playing and could lead me to try some of the most famous games of the genre, who knows…

Taking advantage of a lot of disocunted games on the Nintendo eShop, I’ve also bought The Way Remastered and immediately started playing it. I really fell in love with this game and the day I’ve downloaded I stayed awake until 3 a.m. to play and that’s the reason why I’ve already passed the first half of the game. This will be probably my next completed game…

I’ve also subscribed to Epic Games as they promise to put on sale two games per month for free. This week is the turn of Axiom Verge which I alsready downloaded and I’m looking forward to February 21st when Thimbleweed Park will be available. Unfortunately my computer is a piece of s#!t and with its 5 years and Win7 won’t run games designed for more modern PCs with Win10, so I have to wait until I find a new laptop. The idea is to get a powerful new one and to keep this one I’m using right now as an “hard disk” for all of my DOS games and use it mainly as a platform for the emulation (I have already installed a verion of MAME as well as NES, Atari 2600 and Spectrum emulators).

On the hunting side there wasn’t that much on my radar this week but I’ve found some games I was looking for, one above all Rez for the PS2 for only 5€. But the real surprise came before Valentine’s Day when my gf game me a shiny brand new PS4 Pro and Wolfenstein II: The New Order. I will discuss about it soon 😀

Maniac Mansion is a golden oldie for sure, Life Force is a fun shooter. Try Twin Cobra if your into old NES Shooters 🙂
