[Forbidden Games] Adult Film Cameraman

Welcome to the twenty-fourth entry of this column in which I review forbidden (and forgotten) retro games with adult contents.

A lot of the games that will be revisited here will have, as well as adult themes, some contents that may offend somebody. But please remember, we are here just to re-discover something rightfully forgotten, so don’t take it so seriously, we don’want to offend anybody. Just have fun and laugh 🙂

Today’s game is Adult Film Cameraman.

The games is a DOS exclusive (it’s not hard to understand why) and it has been developed and released in 1994 by Interactive Girls Club, a small company that in its very short life developed other three games, Teresa: House Guest and Date Girl: Virtual Reality in 1993 and Jo Guest in the Milk Round in 1994. Apparently they loved adult simulations…

This game with all of its FMV sequences is a sort of Night Trap translated into a simulation, and if you remember how bad Night Trap was, well…this is even worse!

Why is forgotten?

According to Mobygames, one of my first sources when I talk about forgotten gamesm, this video game doesn’t even have a cover, so here we have two options: 1- it was distributed via mail order without a proper box or 2 – it’s so bad nobody ever scanned the cover. And I tend to believe to the second. Plus it’s an adult game without something “really” adult. Better to play a strip poker game at this point!

Hmmm, heels…I guess this is a good subject for a porn…

Why is forbidden?

I could say that this is a forbidden game because in the last year the amateur or better pseudo-amateur porn is in fashion so the traditional role of the director has changed a bit but I really can’t be so philosophical. This game is forbidden because no one has ever played it and who did it it soon forgot it…

Why is fun?

One of male’s greatest dream is to have a part in a porn movie but since I doubt most of us will ever fulfil this dream, a good tradeoff could be becoming a cameraman. At least there’s something good to see! And with this game you can shoot the scene of your dreams. Too bad it’s only a game, huh?

How can I play it?

The only viable options if you’re really so interested in this game, will be the emulation via DOSBox, the games is quite easy to find online. And this is one of the case when I don’t think somebody could sue you for downloadins something under copyright protection

Something similar but a bit less crappy???

  • Entepreneur (1997)
  • Casino Tycoon (2001)
  • Beach Life (2002)

And finally, if you need other games related to this which are crappy and adult oriented like Adult Film Cameraman, stick around, more games will be covered soon!

  1. I have not played this game, but it seems very strange. It seems very lazy to create a game where the player does not create their own films (like in other games), but has to function as a cameraman and film a premade film. I was surprised to find that the game does not seem to have a cover. Calling a company Interactive Girls Club does seem a little suspicious.
How is this game played? Does the player just control how to zoom and where to direct the camera? What was meant by “without something ‘really’ adult”?

Make My Video might have been a horrible game, but at least it let you, you know, make a video. Hard to see what the point of this thing was. Maybe it was meant to trick people into buying copies thinking they were getting something more lurid.

If this was their plan I hardly believe they tricked a lot of people…
