[Forbidden Games] Bad Ass Babes

Welcome to the twenty-second entry of this column in which I review forbidden (and forgotten) retro games with adult contents.

A lot of the games that will be revisited here will have, as well as adult themes, some contents that may offend somebody. But please remember, we are here just to re-discover something rightfully forgotten, so don’t take it so seriously, we don’want to offend anybody. Just have fun and laugh 🙂

Today’s game is Bad Ass Babes a.k.a. Mortal Kombat fucks Streets of Rage and pukes this game.

Developed and distributed by Thatcher Productions (who knows if they’re related with Margaret Thatcher) this represents their only game and I can easily understand why. Bad Ass Babes is a rather poor scrollling beat ’em up where the protagonists are (you guessed right) girls. But not simple girls, bad ass girls!

Believe it or not this game has also a backstory! As always alien bastards invade the Earth, kidnap and turn all men into mutants and keep the girls for “breeding experiments” a.k.a. they become aliens sex slaves. To avoid dying for overdoase of sex (apparently these aliens are quitenymphomaniac and well endowed) women are gifted with “super strenght” or bullshit like this but some of them simply refuse to play the bitch part and they rise up against their pimps.

Oh, the game is set in 20XX, as in Mega Man. A coincididence?

Why is forgotten?

Well, the game came out less than 4 years ago and is still on Steam, so apparently is not that much forgotten, even if I don’t know why…

Is this a bad ass girl or a good ass girl?

To add insult to injury, Steam dixit:

A side scrolling beat em up featuring live action sprites, a cheesy plot and over the top gameplay that reminds you of the old classic arcade games.

…and the reviews are very positive…:(

Why is forbidden?

This game SHOULD BE forbidden not because there are boobs and violence, but because it look like it was made with the cheapest version of MS Paint!

But at least the game gives credit to women and their entrepreneurial attitude. Like the overboobed girl below…

Why is fun?

If you like Double Dragon but you’re too mainstream for it this is the game for you. Oh, and if you love some boobs sometimes you can find it even more interesting! Of course you have to be blind to fully appreciate the game graphics…

How can I play it?

The game is currently (!) on Steam for 9,99$. If I come to know you’ve spent 10 bucks for this crap I’m gonna come to you and steal 100$.

Something similar but a bit less crappy???

  • Bad Dudes vs. Dragonninja. Becuase what the hell, even this game is awful!

And finally, if you need other games related to this which are crappy and adult oriented like Bad Ass Babes, stick around, more games will be covered soon!

  1. I have not played this game. The graphics actually remind me of games that were released as a free gift in cereal boxes during the early noughties, with the characters (resembling photos) seeming to feel out of place with the smooth graphics used for the background. I have enjoyed some side scrolling beat ’em up games, but the story for this game seems really bizarre ( even compared to Streets of Rage 3, which added science-fiction elements to the urban action story of the previous games). I am surprised this game is so recent, considering the quality of the graphics. It also seems to be a prominent feature of the games reviewed in this series are the only ones made by that company.
What can the player buy from the shop? Does the game use a good beat ’em up gameplay? Have people actually written good reviews for the game?
