[Stuff I wish I had] Taito Legends 1 & 2

Because it’s almost Christmas!

Yes, Christmas is just round the corner and, even though I don’t write a letter to Santa Claus since…I don’t even remember when, maybe a gentle request can impress the Gods of gaming and maybe they will decide to send me what I want.

Pardon. What I’d like.

From time to time in my short collecting career, I’ve ben impressed and I’ve fallen in love with various games or consoles. Sometimes I managed to fulfil my wisheh but sometimes I’ve been blocked, mainly by money constraints. The space in my house is not a huge problem at the moment so I really look forward to fill it with all of the goodies I really love.

A thing I’ve noticed is that, despite the small number of games I have for it, PlayStation 2 is the console I’d like to have most games for. My retro heart melted when I’ve first seen the amount of arcade compilations or collections available for the system. One of them is Taito Legends.

Released in two volumes, they include some of the defining games of the japanese company and with a total of 68 games available (29 in Volume 1 and 39 in Volume 2) they’re an immense vault of memories that can ensure months of fun spent playing some of the most successful games ever released, like Bubble Bobble, The New Zealand Story, Rainbow Islands, Elevator Action, Qix, Darius Gaiden and, of course, the immortal Space Invaders (even in its 1991 sequel Super Space Invaders ’91 and 1995 Space Invaders ’95).

These are the lists of the PS2 version but some other versions, lixe the Xbox one, have a slightly different roster. There should be also some Taito Memories compilations which came out only for the japanese market but I doubt I will ever find all of them in good shape and at an affordable price…

I hereby demand to the Gods of gaming, could you please make me find a good copy of the two Taito Legends compilation?
