[Editorial] Guess what’s next on I ❤ Old Games! – 02/12/18

Hello guys,

I’ve had a rathere intense week on the gaming side, not only because I’va managed to buy a great lot of Resdient Evil games as you can read in the last [Picks of the Month] column, but even because I’ve started a “new” game, Life Force a.k.a. Salamander I’ve recently bought.

Having loved (and completed) Gradius, the natural consequence for me was to play the sequel which is f**king hard as nails! I’ve played intensely during the week but I’ve only been able to cleas the fist two stages and I’m stuck in the middle of the third with all those flares, fireballs and explosive pigeons (???) coming at me. And not having a password system sincerely doesn’t help…

I’ve also read a lot and I’m almost in the second half of Retro Gamer Mag #183. I’m slowly catching up with those and I hope I can read this one and issue #184 within the end of the year.

Today I’ll probably visit a market 20km away from my town (weather permitting) to see if I can find something interesting. Last year in December I’ve found my first Wii and my first Xbox One (the first of a huge number 😉 ) and for me it has been the starting point to start collecting for “modern” consoles. Let’s see if December will be good for me even in 2018.

This weekend I’ll be off from work so I can finally play with my new Xbox One S. I don’t think I’m going to play Red Dead Redemption 2 but maybe something I’m more accustomed to, like one of the Resident Evil games. Probably the updated graphics will scare the s#!t out of me but it’s a thing I have to do sooner or later…
