Week 9 – A game everyone should play
It’s very frequent that when a friend come over and say “oh you really have to try this game, i’s great!” probably the game is not that good.And this because we often associate our first games or the games we played as a child with the concept of “good game”. Well, if you have a favourite and rather obscure game you loved as a kid try to play it again now, probably you’ll find out that it was not that good.
However there are some games that really stand out from the crowd and the game I suggest you today belongs for sure to this category. Probably you’ve read about it so many times on this blog that you may start to wonder if this is the only game I’ve played in my life but I’m 100% sure that everyone of you will love Day of the Tentacle.
This is one of the fist point-and-click I’ve played on my PC and it took me forever to complete it. I’m a lover of the genre but even those ones that don’t really like the adventures will be blown away by this game. It’s a perfect mix of puzzle, humour, great though unrealistic plot and great graphics in pure early 90s DOS style. I could have suggested a whole lot of games you should play but I think I will keep some of them for other posts for this 52 Weeks Challenge.

One of the best Point n Click adventures. I enjoyed replaying the remaster recently on Vita.

An old point-and-click game I enjoyed was Labyrinth of Time on the PC. I remember it was a very surreal game set in a maze that crossed into different time periods. I particularly remember the soundtrack used heavy footsteps, but there were no other people in the game, which created a strangely terrifying atmosphere.
Is this game a sequel to Maniac Mansion? Is it more comical than adventurous?

I think I got Tentacle a few months back free on PS network but still haven’t tried it. Now I may have to install it and get to it!
I have a lot of games I can recommend, but most of them are niche genres that not everyone would enjoy. So I went with Super Mario Galaxy; fun, easy to learn, accessible for new players, and you can play w/out a big commitment in terms of time or story. https://buff.ly/2Fp1Mr6

I tried Super Mario Galaxy a few weeks ago when I first got a Wii but I still need to play it more seriously…

Little Nemo: The Dream Master has always been one of my biggest recommendations to NES players.

I’ve stubled upon this game many times online but never bought it because I really didn’t know if was worth playing it. Good to know it’s a good game!
