Hello guys,
Last one has been a prolific week. Not only I’ve finally received a juicy lot of games for SNES and Master System of which I’ll tell you in a future post (even though whoever follows me on Twitter, already knows what’s all about 🙂 ), but I’ve also completed games and started new ones.
You already know that two weeks ago I’ve started and quickly completed Burai Fighter and last week I’ve started Super Castlevania IV. I still don’t have the original cartridge so for the moment I’m sticking with the SNES Mini version. Since I’m still far away from beating the original Castlevania that I’ve momentarily put on hold, I thought that Super Castlevania IV would have been moooooore difficult than its famous predecessor. Much to my dismay I’ve found this game incredibly playable and rather easy even thoug for the moment I’m playing saving sometimes my state: the days in which I could stand in front of a console playing all day long without anything else to do are over -sadly- so I’m forced to use this little hints.
I never thought I’d love this game so much and I really like the improvements made from the original Castlevania, so you can expect a positive review very soon 🙂
I know that it’s bad luck to say it now, but probably (I say PROBABLY) I can put my hands on a rather large lot of Atari 2600 games. Following last post on hungrygoriya blog, which is always one of my big references in terms of “what’s hot” to get, I’ve found an ad of a guy selling a mini collection of untested games. I hope that none of them are broken or not working because there are some remarkable titles on sale. I’m crossing all my fingers, my arms and my eyes 🙂
Another great achievement this week: I’ve finally completed The Ultimate History of Video Games!!! After more than one year (of which 10 months spent closed on my nightstand) I’ve turned the last page. Unfortunately the book covers the history until the early noughties but it’s ok for me, all the most interesting stories for me end with the end of the millennium. Now I can finally read the last Retro Gamer issue and I’ve already prepared another book to read during the Christmas holidays…
