Hello guys,
This week I missed an incredible opportunity to enlarge my collection with a great piece. I was wandering online when I saw a guy willing to sell a european Turbografx in near mint condition, boxed, with all polys, cables, and game for a ridiculous price: 150€. You may think “why this price is so ridiculous?” and the answer is because together with the console was included the HuCards adapter, to read all the japanese cards on the euro-american console, something that can cost 100€ itself. Plus the seller was from my own town! Unfortunately I’m still a stupid beginner for these things and at first for me spending 150€ on a single piece was a bit too much. Only now I understand what a fool I’ve been to let it go.
Lesson learnt: next time I’ll try not to get scared by high prices when the value is more thad double of that price.
As it was in the past weeks I’m reading a lot and I’m now in the second half of my loved book “The Ultimate History of Video Games”. Page after page I’m realizing it’s really a great lecture and I find myself reading even at 2 AM at a time when it would be better to sleep given that the alarm in the morning is set at 6 AM…
A few days ago in one of my frequent visits in the second hand shop close to where I live I’ve found some good games and this is strange because in Italy the second hands shop are like fourth hand shop with the leftovers of the leftovers. However there were like 20 games for the Nintendo DS family and I’ve snapped up a few of them: Super Mario 3D Land and Metal Slug 7, which are two games I think I’ll play a lot on my 2DS during the Christmas holidays and two Pokemon games, one of which is Heart Gold.
I’m not a great fan of Pokemon games, hell I can rather say I hate Pokemon but it’s a game so popular and so influential that I should give it a try. Probably I’ll change my mind, who knows…
I’ve found other interesting stuff online and I’m trying to buy again a PS1, a console I’ve parted with too many years ago. I should have some games somewhere, even though I don’t know where and this should be the time to play them again…
