Hello guys,
Last one has been a solitary week for me. My gf was away for her job and I had horrible shifts again with my job since my colleague has left Italy to Australia…this means that I had some spare time but nobody to share it with. I’ve spent most of the time reading and “studying” especially some history of home computers and some Z80 assembly, even though on this second sudject I have a bit of difficulty since I’m learning everything from zero.
At the beginning of the week I’ve received three Spectrum games I’ve bought and I’ve been really pleased by the shape they are: they look like they’ve never been opened and they smell like new. I still haven’t tested yet but I’m quite sure they will work brillantly. The games are The Way of the Exploding fist, Quazatron and Gauntlet, which came in a big box. I start to have in my collection several games of which I own different versions for different platforms so I’m really thinking of starting a column where to compare them. However I still haven’t got a catchy name for it, so if you want to help me with it I’ll be more than happy. In the same sprite I’ve also found a cheap copy of Double Dragon for the Master System. The problem is that for the NES I only have DD II and DD III…:(
These are the games that, at the moment, I have for different platforms:
- Double Dragon for Master System and Commodore 64
- Altered Beast for Mega Drive and Master System;
- Golden Axe for Master System and Commodore 64
- Rambo – First Blood Part II for ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64
- Shadow Warriors for NES and Commodore 64
Since I’m running out of space during the week I’ve added an extra set of shelves in my bedroom to relocate some of the games and console I own and now they’re accomodated definitely better that before.
Last thing: two days ago I went to a second hand shop and I’ve seen something interesting. The problem is that I didn’t have cash with me and I was already late for an appointment. I’ll be there again next week on Wednesday and I hope I’ll still find all the stuff I’ve seen: a complete and boxed C64, a 1531 Datassette for my C64 (mine is starting to die day after day), two VIC-20 (although one, despite being working, I think it misses some screws because it has one side that can be opened without any effort) and a copy of Half-Life 2 for PC I really want. I think I could buy everything for a totale of less than 100€
I hope they will be still there…
