Hello guys,
Finally my two weeks of horrible shifts are about to finish. My colleague is back so from the next week I’ll have more spare time to dedicate to myself.
However during last week I’ve found some spare hours to play, especially with the last games I’ve bought, Probotector, Ghost ‘n Goblins and Shadow Warriors. And especially this last one. I’ve loved Castlevania and in my honest opinion this is the Ninja version of Castlevania. I can’t stop playing it even though I’m still a newbie and I have to do my best to stay alive. The best part of my horrible shifts last weeks is that I haven’t worked in the morning so I went to bed quite late and I had time to read and that’s the reason why I’ve already completed the last issue of Retro Gamer. I’ve also picked up again The ZX Spectrum book just to prepare for the Retro Gamer Issue #172 in which there will be a piece for the 35th Speccy anniversary I’ve already celebrated.
Regarding the Spectrum, after having explained to my uninterested girlfriend how the attribute clash works we had a small exchange of views and it was like:
Me – Wow I love so much the graphics on the Spectrum, look at this (showing her a still of Dynamite Dan). I mean, I know they’re rude but they had to fit in a tiny 16k of memory, even an empty Word document is bigger than 16k! How come I love so much this stuff???
GF – It looks like it was made with Paint by a drunk 5 year old.
Me – *sadness intensifies*
Obviously everything was in italian but the heart of the matter was that. But my sadness ignite again my love for the Speccy so I’ll look after some good games, even though the best ones are quite expensive. If I were in the UK I think I could buy them easily for a bargain but in Italy nobody is selling Speccy games and to buy them from the UK is worth a fortune. I hope to find a good soul…
