[Editorial] Guess what’s next on I ❤ Old Games! – 27/08/17

Hello guys,

Some of you maybe noticed that last week, my usual weekly Guess what’s next… hasn’t been posted. Or better it has been posted but it was empty. The reason is that I scheduled it but it has been an intense weekend and I totally forgot to posticipate it. So sorry Rob if I made you read a blank post…

The fact is that my gf an I had some friends visiting us from the US and we’ve spent two days to the sea so I haven’t had so much time to check my wordpress. Holidays are approaching and I’m becoming day after day a bit more scatterbrained 😦 It’s a tough period for us, we have so many plans for the future to discuss and we have tons of thoughts in our mind to think about so I can’t rule out juicy news for the future. I hope the changes we’re planning will materialize; they would be a bit stressful but hopefully they will lead to a better life together, so we’re crossing our fingers and even though I don’t want to spoil that much (and that’s not superstition, trust me…) I ask to cross your fingers for us as well 🙂

This means that gaming-wise there are no particular news. I’ve received a couple of things I’ve bought days ago and so my collection is slowly growing.

After reading an article of one of the last Retro Gamer issues, I’ve totally fallen in love with one of their “Retro Stinker” games, The Farmer’s daughter, an adult text adventure in which you embody a salesman willing to…ehm…”unlock” the titual farmer’s daughter pants. The best (really? best???) thing of this game is that, bneing oriented to an adult audience, the parser, while doesn’t recognize terms like “use” (…) will accept verbs like “masturbate” with the results you can imagine. It’s a stupid game I know but my unhealthy passion for bad thing sometimes is something I can’t control 🙂 I’m dying to find an original copy of this game for C64 but since I kn ow it will be more than impossible to find, for the moment I’m consoling myself with the DOS port. Lots of fun!
