Hello old games lovers,
Have you ever thought that an innocent and cute dolphin could have been the main character for a video game? Oh…you did? Ok, so you won’t be surprised if I say Ecco the Dolphin. But maybe you could be a bit more surprised knowing that today, July 31st, this game turns 25, having been released in 1992 for Sega Mega Drive.
I have played this game. I like the way the article describes an “innocent and cute dolphin” because the instruction manual contains, along with instructions for the game, a list of facts about dolphins and a short story about people helped by dolphins, which suggests this game was designed for kids who love dolphins. Strangely, despite the efforts to make the game seem like a cute game with dolphins, the game is highly difficult. The story is also quite varied, with long journeys, time travel and a fight against aliens. This game also seems to be part of a fashion for games to feature Atlantis, along with Tomb Raider and Virtua Fighter 2.
Have you played the game? How did you feel about it?

I’ve just played a few times Ecco to give a complete valuation, but I look forward to buy the cartridge…
