[Editorial] Pleasure and Pain: NES Classic Mini

Today is the day. Today November 11th, 2016 will be available for sale the new edition of the hyper-ultra-famous Nintendo Entertraiment System. The NES Classic Mini.

I’ve been waiting for this moment since this summer and I really wanted to share with you my opinions about it. The probles is only one: NES Classic §Mini is virtually impossible to find. The pre-orderered units are sold out since decades and you can find some new-second hand one at deranged prices.

My problem actually is not this. I’m lucky to have a girlfriend I love who promises me months ago that she would have bought Mini NES for my birthday. My problem is that I have to wait almost until Christmas for my birthday… 😦 So I have to wait more than one month for something I love that I know will be probably be sold out by tomorrow.

Isn’t this a proof of my huge love for her? 🙂 🙂 🙂

No, I’m joking. I love her and she loves me so I can wait. But reading all these posts of people umboxing my dream and play with it it’s heartwrenching!

So to all of you, play NES Mini thinking of me…

Waiting makes the heart grow fonder! I went out looking for one this morning and got scooped by everyone else. There are now some posted on classifieds sites for $250-$300 Canadian!!!! I’m incredibly patient though, so I will wait it out until Nintendo releases more.

Sounds like an awesome woman! Very happy for you and your eventual NES Classic! I’m sure it will be more than worth the wait, especially given who the giver is!

I’m hopefully awaiting one from my wife come Christmas, but either way, I’ll love her too. 🙂

  5. I almost want to get one just for the case, then strip it out and put a raspberry pi in there with all the emulators. 30 out of order games just doesn’t work for me.

Hahaha, this could be a good idea! But I’m still hoping that in the future Nintendo will re-release some of their games for Mini NES…

L’unico difetto ha pochi titoli, meglio il Blaze che ha messo 80 giochi del Sega Megadrive allo stesso prezzo,la Nintendo e sempre stata cara

      1. I don’t know why Nintendo insists on doing that to be honest! It’s so annoying. They know it’s in high demand, and they know that units will consistently sell. Keep a decent stock *grumbles*

Maybe they didn’t expect a success like this…

      3. Then they severely underestimated themselves. I mean they saw what happened with the Wii!

Yes, but I think they still feel burned from the flop of Wii U…
