Another month, another award!
This time I have to thank a lot iplayedthegame for the nominee, and before I forgot a big “thank you” even to Mr. Panda who nominated me for my fourth Liebster award a couple of weeks ago and I didn’t have the time to reply.
So here are rules of this award:
- Thank the blogger that nominated you.
- Attach the award to the post.
- Give a brief story of how your blog started.
- Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers.
- Select 5 other bloggers you want to give the award to.
How I ❤ Old Games! started:
I always loved old games, and I own tons of floppies, CDs and DVDs I still play nowadays. Unfortunately my experience with gaming ended up when I moved to the college, and even after (you know, with graduation, when you find a job, when you start a relation…) so for me there’s like a black hole at the beginning of the third millennium.
However I still play games from 1980 to 2000, for PC and consoles, emulated or not and I still find them wonderful. So I thought to write about my experiences and I started this blog. You won’t find professional reviews or detailed stories about the developers but just my feelings. It’s like an emotional blog.
Sometimes there are so many titles to write about that I almost don’t know what to do!
A piece of advice
All around I see a lot of people younger than me writing about modern games (and they’re wonderful!) but a lot of them never owned a NES, or a GameBoy, they have never seen an Atari or an Amiga, they never felt the emotion to put on the cassette on a ZX Spectrum or simply they never used a floppy disk.
This blog is dedicated to them, to let them know what was the world of video gaming back then and for sure is also for the people born in the 70s or in 80s that can truly understand what it means to have fallen in love whith these old style games when they were still young.
